I have been intending to watch this film for years but have never got around to it. I did not realise it was a Christmas film. I am now genuinely excited!
Tbh it’s more of a New Year’s film, in the manner of The Apartment, but it all happens over Christmas, and is all snowy New York, so I say it counts. And it’s definitely very watchable, most importantly
I’ve always loved the Coen brothers’ films… from Raising Arizona on. Hudsucker was no exception. Although I am also a GenXer, I seek only entertainment from movies and not ‘deeper meanings’.

Discovered it’s not currently available to stream in the UK though!
Oh no! I should have checked that (I’ve got it on DVD, predictably)
Such a strong argument for owning physical media
It’s getting to be a habit now - anything I really like, I buy on DVD, since things keep disappearing from streaming

But I really enjoyed this piece! Well done!
Great analysis. One for later, I think…
Thank you!
But nowhere to be found, alas…
