Beautiful piece! I was also obsessed with Hendry, filling the gap you must have suffered between Davis and O'Sullivan. For me Hendry was as inspirational a role model as 'Alien': perfect, with no messy human things like morals getting in the way of killing and eating prey. But have you ever seen "Billy The Kid And The Green Baize Vampire"? I haven't been able to find it since whenever it was on TV and i saw it by fluke but i loved it then.

Love this piece, brings back so many memories. I can vividly remember watching that Davis/Taylor final with friends. I did go to a live match, in the Benson & Hedges Masters at Wembley Conference Centre. But in proof of how right you are about its questionable live quality… I can remember absolutely nothing more about it! I know I went, I can recall being in the foyer of the venue, I remember who I went with… but I can’t even remember being in the auditorium!

Thanks Paul! A few people have since come out as having been to an actual - *live* - snooker match, but clearly its drowsy qualities extend to memory wiping. It could be a form of alien communication perhaps
